The grooming routine
Eight steps from dusty to show-ready.

Daily Massage Brush
01 Massage & loosen
Work in small circles over the neck, body and hindquarters. The wooden nubs wake up the skin, boost circulation and loosen dried dirt — most horses love this part.
- Small circles, light pressure
- Skip bony areas
- Works wet or dry
-
Daily Curry Comb
02 Lift dirt & loose hair
Short circular strokes bring deep dirt and shedding hair to the surface. Tap the comb out often. Version 2 ships with the rings set rigid for more pressure.
- Circular strokes
- Avoid legs and face
- Clean the dandy with it too
-
Daily Dandy Brush
03 Sweep away dirt
Firm, short strokes in the direction of the coat, flicking at the end to lift away everything the curry comb brought up.
- Flick, don’t scrub
- Body, neck and legs
- Not for the face
-
Daily Soft Finishing Brush
04 Smooth & shine
Long strokes with the coat remove fine dust and spread the natural oils for a polished shine.
- Long, flat strokes
- Safe on sensitive areas
- Finish with the lie of the coat
-
Daily Mane & Tail Pin Brush
05 Detangle mane & tail
Hold the tail and start from the ends, working upward in small sections so you never pull a knot tight.
- Start at the ends
- Small sections
- Add detangler if needed
-
Daily Hoof Pick
06 Clean hooves
Pick from heel to toe, clearing around the frog, then sweep the sole clean with the wire brush. A good moment to check for stones or thrush.
- Heel to toe
- Around the frog, never into it
- Brush the sole clean
-
After work Grooming Sponge
07 Bathe & refresh
After work or on hot days, sponge on water and shampoo, then rinse. Also great for wiping eyes and nostrils.
- Lukewarm water
- Rinse thoroughly
- Separate sponge for the face
-
After work Sweat Scraper
08 Remove water & sweat
Follow the lie of the coat with long sweeps to strip water and sweat so your horse dries faster.
- Long sweeps with the coat
- Flat blade, light pressure
- Then walk to dry
