Every tool is designed by our family and tried by hand. Then, before each production run ships, an independent inspector checks kits at random. We publish what they find — and we fix it.

How it works
Shapes, materials and weights chosen and refined in-house.
Every design is tried by hand before it goes into production.
Kits are pulled at random from the cartons, in the number set by the AQL tables.
Finish, logo, bristles, straps and hardware are inspected; on-site tests are run.
Any unit with a finding is set aside and reworked before the run ships.
What is AQL?
Our inspections follow ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (MIL-STD-105E). The standard sets how many kits to check for the size of the run, and every finding is classified by severity:

The tests
The master carton is dropped from a standard height to make sure the box and the kits inside survive shipping.
Each tool is dropped from one metre to check it doesn’t break, come apart or crack.
Pressure, torsion and pulling on joints, rivets, bristles and assembled parts, as in heavy daily use.
The surface is rubbed 10 times with a dry and a wet white cotton cloth to check finish, logo and colour hold.
Brushes hold, bristles stay set, straps take the load and metal parts work as intended.
Every label is scanned to confirm it reads correctly — so kits are received and tracked properly.
Every inspected kit is checked for unpleasant odours from leather, wood or glue.
Natural materials are measured for moisture, which can cause mould or warping.
